Global wheat output estimated at 676 million ton for 2011: FAO
NEW DELHI, MAR 23:� Global wheat output is estimated to rise by 3.4 per cent to 676 million tonnes in 2011 as high global prices led to an increase in the area under coverage in many countries, United Nation's body FAO on Wednesday said. "Food and Agriculture Organisation's (FAO) first forecast for world wheat production in 2011 stands at 676 million tonnes, 3.4 per cent up from 2010," FAO said
