Thailand: Rice to gain as Vietnam stocks absorbed
Local paddy prices are expected to rise in line with global market trends once the market absorbs large new supplies from Vietnam, says the Commerce Ministry. Despite projections of a large paddy harvest of around 4 million tonnes this month and 1.3 million in June, prices are still between 8,200 and 8,300 baht a tonne, higher than the government's benchmark of 8,188 baht set for next week under
